Poetry Ex 2 pg 246
1)The subject matter is about woman being incompetent and that having a man in a family is better.The speaker feeling's is that he felt that people are all trying their best to give birth to males and if they had too much they tend to give up.They find that woman are useless in manpower but now are living better than man and even beating them in every single thing they do,evidence is that "trying and trying still and trying until tired out".
2)Ringed by daughters means that they have alot of daughters that they have given birth to.Contoured be choices the woman grown up to be workaholic and not devoting themselves to a man that they would want to have a baby or children to take care of as it is a nuisance.The other phrases are Unused to the new it means that the woman are taking over the world now not guys anymore.Other words are like "concedes" and "singleness" means that they won't considering marriage and and prefer to be single.
3)At the start,i pity the womans as they are not of a use to the society,that society shuns woman and thinks that we are very weak,but as i read the poem it shows that nowadays woman's living condition has improve tremendously as they have been fairly treated nowadays and that they are even better than man that they forget where they came from and wants to be single and not start a family because they wants to work and fulfill a successful career.
