Prose ex2 pg 276
1)The narrator's point of view in men is that it is all negative,as she had experience all the bad things about them,for her,men are difficult and so hard to understand.They operate on simple basis but you have to up with their state-unwelcome attentions or hurtful silence.Guys,are typical and all their actions are very hard to figure out.She had tried many times understanding them but still failed.For the writer the way to attract guys are through make up.Woman also have to learn about periods when it come to guys.Guys thinks that woman are cheap as they ask for discounts as and when they like.After they had gone through army and become wiser for them all the girls do are wrong,they think they are the only one facing it and prefers their love ones not to interfere.Guys are all very hurtful as they always wants woman to understand their feelings when they themselves don't even care about woman.And to her man prefer man to work and not woman.
2)Internal conflict:Her guy changed after entering the army and has not becomed close like before.
internal:is when the writer had to take it jokes made from guys when they ask for discounts.
External:Is when the guy blame her for being upset making her guilty that the guy only a few hours of freedom and she had to ruin it.
3)The tone of the story is very confuse and insulting,the writer write things about men that she is angry about ,she wrote about things that man do that she really does not get it ,she just wants to write out all things that are stereotypical of mans.
4)The writer develop sympathy for protagonist by talking about the things man do to so called "bully" her.Eg, is at the hotel and also when her boyfriend was angry with her,the writer wrote that she was not given any job opportunities because they wanted man instead.
5)Yes,i think that his depiction as a man in a woman shoes is rather stereotypical,maybe he had experience it before so he knews that woman are sensitive beings.In the story the writer wrote about handsome guys,but forgot the sweat and all.He also wrote that woman are always not accepted in the society unlike man,its stereotypical thinking about life that it is unfair towards them.
