1)Yes,in this extract it seems different as vampires usually attack on humans but in this story it seems that the vampire was friendly and doesn't kill or attack,it also shows the vampire talking to the kid.
2)The boy became uneasy when the vampire became very still and also when the vampire was asking him to shine the light,he thought that the vampire was very creepy that he showed his white skin,bonely figure a.
3)The vampire started to take control when they wanted to on the overhead light then he started to face elsewhere showing his back to the boy then the boy became scared when he wanted to show his true self.
